Tom Nimen is a New York City brand developer and graphic designer. He studied art and design at Cooper School of Art in the Midwest and Middle East language and culture at Columbia University, and he created and writes for the Middle East culture blog, ilikum. Although he is an artist and designer, his approach is generally to conduct research and form reporting that clearly defines the landscape where his clients’ promotional messages must function, and this includes competitive reviews and customer-user profiles. He presumes nothing and believes that fact-learning improves the creative experience and makes the resulting design communication all the more effective.
He partners with accomplished photographers, illustrators, technologists, researchers, academics, manufacturers, as well as on- and offline publishers, and virtually everything he produces is conceived to function in print, on the World Wide Web, in mobile devices, in public spaces, and in institutional environments.
