Introducing an espresso bar created to fuel hard study by serving powerful brew for the mighty. See Java Run is a proposed Brooklyn College proprietary brand that can be promoted on and off campus. The first objective: create a brand that the students and faculty can own. Because coffee is the number one beverage consumed on campus — possibly above and beyond water — it deserves a unique identity, one that functions as another campus emblem among other extra curricular and sport entities.
No mermaids or coffee beans were presented, and instead, a variety of symbols that explore coffee brewing and serving paraphernalia portrayed as characters specifically using humor to offset pressure from the rigors of Brooklyn College’s academic programs.
Further, it is proposed that the brewing varieties will exceed drip coffee only, and to underscore diversity, coffees and brewing techniques from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa are being considered.
