Nudes, yes. Travel sketches, of course, and now icons. Several projects have required development of unique and category-specific iconography, which is fun, because it’s minimalist design. On the other hand, it’s challenging for the same reason and complicated by how positive and negative space is represented in limited website and app on-screen real estate.
What looks good as a concept sketch can result in a meaningless blob once rendered and reduced. I pixel here or there makes all the difference between successful or failed icon. And then there’s the issue of whether or not the design will resonate with users for what the symbol is meant to represent.
