Journal 04 is where I begin to introduce color using artist markers and highlighters. Later on, the journals include significant mixed media, mostly ink and watercolor.
In looking back at journals 01, 02, and 03, I realize that I miss the freedom that came with just drawing with a black pen without additional color media. I still do this, but not to the degree shown in the first three volumes.
